Dear Mr President

Dear Mr President,

I am one of the 55.3 million people that didnt vote for you, and I know I speak for more then a few. Your election on Tuesday night was not a mandate. Out of nation of almost 300 million souls, you won by 3 million votes... 51-48. This far from a mandate. You seemed very pleased today about the political " capital" that you said you earned and you intended to spend. Though you may feel you have total control over the 55 million that didn't vote for you, through your control of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches of government, there is one area where we have control over you.

The 55 million Americans who didn't support you have billions of dollars in "financial capital"-the stock market, retirement funds, insurance policies and  other financial instruments. By making us feel insecure about our futures, I am fearful that you will encourage many in this huge minority to sell off their stocks, cancel their insurance policies and pull the money they have worked very hard for because they feel their nation has abandoned them. This would create a financial crisis. I feel it is important that you listen to the very large minority of this nation, because at this time we are feeling extrememly betrayed from the system that were taught to love. Hopefully you will be the great uniter you told us you were.
Your moral values that come from your faith are only one of many that make the quilit of American cuture. I applaud your deep faith and encourage you to keep your faith  and religious values where it should remain... in your church, in your home and in your heart. Your faith is not my faith, and any legislation to try to impose your religious views of the world on me will be met wtih resistence by myself and many of those who didnt vote for you.
Freedom of religion means just that. It does not mean the majority has the right to impose their religious values  and beliefs on those who don't support your belief system. The Consitution is not a Christian document. It was America's gift to the world and no where in it does it endorse one religion over the other. To try to interpret it as such will only create a larger schism in American society then already exists, and no one... you, me or anyone else, will be winners, but we will certainly all be losers.
